Polish national detained in Marsabit for possession of bhang

Police in Marsabit Central have detained a Polish national for possession of 24 kilograms of illegal marijuana.

Swierczynski Dariusz Rafal, aged 47, was arrested in Stage 45 area of Marsabit town while in possession of marijuana bags in his vehicle.

Confirming the incident, Marsabit Central police boss Beethoven Gachago stated that the suspect was apprehended after police received a tip-off from members of the public.

According to reports, the suspect was seen smoking and distributing bhang openly in public.

The suspect is currently in custody at Marsabit Police Station and is expected to appear in court on Thursday to face charges of drug trafficking.

Gachago warned against engaging in drug trafficking and emphasised that strict legal action will be taken against offenders.
