Probe as body of unidentified man found in the Indian Ocean

Investigations are ongoing after the body of a man was found in the Indian Ocean.

Haki Africa rapid response officer Mathias Shipeta said the body of the unidentified man was found at Old Port in Mvita Constituency.

The body was found floating in the ocean by fishermen who reported the matter to the authorities.

Shipeta added that the deceased might have been swept by ocean currents from another area.

“The locals were not able to identify the man whose body was found at Old Port. He must be from another area,” Shipeta noted.

The body of the deceased has been taken to Coast General Teaching And Referral Hospital Mortuary.

Police have kicked off investigations into the matter.
