Probe as Kisumu man hacked to death in woman's house

A 36-year-old man from Nyakach sub-county died while receiving treatment at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital, following an attack by unknown people on Wednesday night after he was found inside a woman’s house.

According to Maurice Adie, the Chief of North Nyakach location, the deceased was attacked with a machete at the woman’s house, which is about 2 km from his home.

Chief Adie said the woman is being detained by police officers to assist with investigations.

He said it is alleged that the deceased, Kennedy Okeyo, had an affair with the woman.

According to the chief, unknown suspects stormed the woman’s home last night armed with crude weapons and slashed the deceased with a machete before fleeing the scene.

The victim was rushed to a hospital in Ahero, and later to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment.
