A shortage of family planning commodities has been experienced in Samburu county’s health facilities for the past two months.

Residents have complained that family planning services and commodities, which were initially available at no cost in private health facilities, now cost Sh200.

They urged the national government, through the Ministry of Health, to intervene by making sure the family planning commodities and services are made available.

James Otieno, a resident of Maralal town, lamented about the situation, urging the government to take quick action.

Another resident, Amina Koom, also said quick action should be taken.
