Two in hospital following knife attack in Kirinyaga County

Two people are nursing injuries at Mwea Mission Hospital in Kirinyaga County, following an attack.
The two were attacked by three individuals who were armed with knives and were operating on a motorcycle.
According to Solomon Muriithi, he was alerted by his colleague, who was attacked while dropping a customer at Maisha area.
Muriithi found his 39-year-old colleague in a pool of blood and rushed him to Mwea Mission Hospital.
Tebere Location Chief and Wang'uru police officers responded to the incident and found the two victims with serious head injuries.
Initially, it was reported that the attackers were armed with guns, but investigations revealed that they used knives. "We are warning them, and investigations have been launched," police said.
Michael Kamau, Chairman of Boda Boda operators in Mwea, condemned the attack and pledged to work with security teams to identify and arrest the suspects.
"We urge the Kirinyaga County Government to install lighting near Wang'uru Girls at Maisha Kamili," Kamau said.
The victims, aged 40 and 39, are in stable condition, and investigations are ongoing.
The suspects, who escaped on a motorcycle, allegedly stole a bag containing two phones and Ksh 5,000.
