60-year-old man shot dead while herding cattle in Tharaka Nithi county

Njeru Ndoko was attacked and shot dead by unknown assailants on Tuesday afternoon, and his body was discovered by suspicious residents who wondered why he had not returned home in the evening.

The attackers also stole the cows and goats, according to the villagers who discovered his body.

The body has been taken to the Marimanti level 4 mortuary, according to Mahutini Assistant Chief, who confirmed the incident.

Meanwhile, Ndoko's partner, who escaped during the incident, is being treated at a local hospital.
