Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary-General Francis Atwoli on Wednesday paid a visit to former Vice President Moody Awori at his home in Lavington, Nairobi.

The COTU boss accompanied a team of veteran politicians to the nonagenarian's home among them former Attorney General Amos Wako and ex-Westlands MP Fred Gumo.

In photos he shared on Twitter, Atwoli is seen sharing a chat with the celebrated leader together with his team and later posed for a photo together.

"It was great catching up with Hon. Moody over many issues of mutual interest," he wrote.

The visit comes a week after rumours proliferated on the internet, claiming that Awori was dead.

A few hours later, his family dismissed the reports, clarifying that the 94-year-old is still well and alive.
