Long before he could tie his shoes, Njoroge wa Githinji knew he wanted to be a journalist.

Born in Komothai, Kiambu county, Githinji attended Komothai Boys where he really settled into his passion for media. He told Behind the Mic that he started off as a Journalism Club chairman in secondary school.

Githinji, who now co-hosts the popular Inooro TV breakfast show "Inooro Miaraho," recently celebrated 16 years in the media industry at Ruiru Stadium.

His path to the top has not been easy; from a life-changing accident in 2019 to learning his most important life lesson from a trader in Gikomba.

Githinji's story is the perfect paragon of what life essentially is; a journey of ups and downs, wins and losses, but otherwise worth living.
