Nzoia Sugar signee James Kibande says they’re ‘’going all out for maximum points” against Ulinzi Stars in tomorrow’s Football Kenya Federation league assignment in Bungoma.

Nzoia sit sixth on the league standings with 35 points after 20 rounds, seven behind Gor Mahia who top the log.

The Sudi-based club have lost just three games so far in the ongoing campaign and Kibande says they are fighting to win the league title this term.

“The team is in good form, the morale is high and I want to assure you that we are challenging for the league title, we want to win every match, we want to get back on top,” Kibande told Citizen Digital.

Ulinzi sit seventh on the log with 32 points after 20 rounds and will be seeking to get back to winning ways after dropping points in their last two assignments, having lost against Posta Rangers and held by Tusker to a two-all draw.

Meanwhile, Kibande rejoined Nzoia Sugar after he was released by Police FC along with five others including Faustine Ojiambo, David Otieno, John Ndirangu, Cornelius Juma, and Bonphas Munyasa.

The speedy winger now hopes he can revive his career at the club that offered him an opportunity to feature in Kenya’s top-flight football straight from high school.

But he did not rule out a return to the law enforcers in future.

“I needed time on the pitch and I have signed for Nzoia Sugar FC hoping to kick-start my career once again, but my dream is to join the Police force and play for the team, I will still work hard to achieve this dream,” Kibande said.

Stat attack: Three of Nzoia’s last five matches have produced under 2.5 goals. They have, however, scored five goals in those five matches; they have drawn four times and lost once in those five matches.

Players to watch: Danger man Joseph Mwangi has scored nine goals for Nzoia from the midfield and contributed to most of the side’s goals so far this season.
