FKF-Premier League side Police FC's goalkeeping coach, Iddi Salim Abdul, has affirmed his team's readiness for the upcoming FKF Cup quarter-final clash against Sofapaka this weekend. Set to take place at Dandora Stadium, this match follows closely after their last league encounter.

In an interview with Citizen Digital, Salim expressed his team's readiness for the tie, anticipating a highly competitive game.

"Our team is mentally and physically prepared for the game. It's going to be a competitive match since we faced Sofapaka just last weekend, and I believe that will add some intensity to the match," Salim shared.

While acknowledging the boost from their win last weekend, Salim cautioned against underestimating their opponents.

"The win last weekend gives us added confidence, but that doesn't mean we'll underestimate them.

“We must perform well, as I'm certain they'll be eager to rectify their mistakes," he emphasized.

Salim further mentioned his expectation of a high-tempo game, warning that Sofapaka will be seeking revenge.

"This upcoming match will be entirely different from the one we played last weekend. Sofapaka will undoubtedly be out for revenge.

“It's a game that could be decided within regular time or even penalties, but we are prepared for any scenario," Salim confidently declared.

With a blend of caution and confidence, Salim's statements reflect Police FC's readiness for what promises to be a thrilling encounter against Sofapaka in the FKF Cup quarter-finals.

In another fixture, Kenya commercial bank will take on Kakakmega Homeboyz in Saturdays early kickoff while Minnows SS Assad will try their luck against Kariobangi Sharks on Sunday before debutants Compel FC face off against AFC leopards.
