Gor Mahia hosted Sofapaka in the FKF Premier League this evening at Nyayo National Stadium. The hosts would run out 3-0 victors as they marched on in the title race this season.

The opening ten minutes saw a cagey affair as the visitors would attempt to hold the record champions at bay.

However, in the 13th minute, a looping through was met by Frank Odhiambo to fire the hosts into the lead.

K’Ogalo would keep the pressure on as they looked to double their lead. Headers seemed to be the name of the game as Sylvester Owino rose highest to score a superb header in the 18th minute to double their advantage.

Batoto Ba Mungu were left shell shocked as Gor sprinted into a 2-0 lead within the first twenty minutes.

Despite looking comfortable, Gor pushed on for a third to put this game beyond doubt before the break. They were successful as Ebenezer Adukwaw netted for the title contenders from the penalty spot to make it 3-0 to K ogalo after Musa was brought down in the area in the 31st minute.

As the game was seen out notable transfer Lewis Bandi was brought on with 10 minutes to go to make his debut for Gor Mahia.

Gor Mahia would see out this second half as their explosive first half display was enough to secure a convincing 3-0 result at Nyayo National Stadium.

This win sees K’Ogalo maintain top spot three points ahead of AFC Leopards at the summit of the FKF Premier league.

Sofapaka with this loss stayed at the bottom place of the table at 17th place.
