Police officers in Nakuru are investigating the puzzle of two bodies found dumped different places within Barut area in Kwa Rhonda Nakuru Town West Sub County.

According to the police, the bodies of a man and a woman bore visible signs of sexual assault.

Efforts to identify the body of the woman had hit a snag early Wednesday as her head had been severed.

The woman's body had been dumped near a sand quarry while the man's body was found near a school in the Barut area,

Gilbert Sang, a brother to the deceased, and a resident, told Citizen Digital that their brother appeared to have been strangled.

According to Sang, his brothers chidren have now been orphaned following the murder as they previously lost their mum.

According to Nakuru County commander Peter Mwanzo, anyone who will be found by authorities in possesion of crude weapons will be treated as a terrorist.

The latest comes just days after Nakuru gripped headlines with rising incidences of insecurity, a majority traced to local youth gangs.

In late June, Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi reassured Nakuru residents of heightened security in the region amid the resurgence of terror gangs.

While speaking in a meeting with security stakeholders , he announced a security overhaul in the region as he promised to eliminate those orchestrating attacks which have led to deaths and panic in Mawanga constituency.

“Our aim as the government is to wipe out those people from here completely. We won’t surrender any part of our lives to such thugs,” he said during a public baraza.
