Eight-time Kenya Cup champions KCB Rugby have shown their intent of getting back to the summit of Kenyan rugby scene as they announced a series of signings this week.

The bankers strengthened their front row by announcing the acquisition of Hafidh Mohamed popularly known as Baby Rhino from South Coast Pirates.

The Kwale-based club announced Hafidh's departure saying "It’s with mixed emotions that we announce the departure of our 21-year-old forward Hafidh Mohammed, fondly known as 'Baby Rhino.'

The explosive front rower demolished scrums for the Coast side and has made the switch after just one season in the Kenya Cup.

Hafidh was part of the 2024 Kenya Under 20 squad, the Chipus, that won the Barthes Cup held in Zimbabwe, last  July.

KCB also announced the acquisition of Joseph Wanjala and Branton Mulefu from Kabras Sugar, Steven Onsumba and John Aswami from Strathmore Leos, Ian Oduor of MMUST, Mike Tyrell of Daystar Falcons and Kevin Ochieng from Northern Suburbs.

Others include Melvin Mweresa and Clyde Kimaya.

KCB RFC will be hoping the new fire power will help them topple their arch rivals Kabras Sugar.
