The Kenya eSports Federation (ESKF) has announced the return of the Kenya Esports Series, with its next regional leg, the Rift Series, set to take place on November 1, 2025, at the Rupaz Fun and Fitness Center inside Rupa’s Mall, Eldoret.

The tournament follows the successful Nakuru City Flamingo Series earlier in October, which attracted over 200 players from across the country, marking a milestone in the federation’s ongoing mission to grow competitive gaming in Kenya.

The Eldoret leg will feature four major titles, EAFC, eFootball Mobile, FC Mobile, and Tekken, drawing top and emerging esports talent from across the Rift Valley and beyond. Players will be competing for a share of the KES 50,000 prize pool and crucial national ranking points.

The top four players in each category will qualify for the National Finals slated for December 12, 2025, in Nairobi, where national champions will be crowned.

Local favorite Ayibei Kibet, one of Kenya’s top esports athletes, expressed excitement about competing on home soil.

“It’s always special to compete in my home city. The Rift Series gives us a chance to show what Eldoret players can do. I’m ready to give my best and secure my place in the national finals,” Kibet said.

Uasin Gishu County Esports Branch Chairman Zachary Ramogo welcomed the event, saying it would boost both local participation and digital innovation.

“We’re honored to host the Rift Series here in Eldoret, the capital of Uasin Gishu County. This event not only highlights the rich talent we have locally but also underlines esports as an important tool for youth empowerment and digital innovation,” Ramogo said.

ESKF President Ronny Lusigi reaffirmed the federation’s commitment to spreading esports across the country.

“After the incredible turnout in Nakuru, we’re excited to bring the Kenya Esports Series to Eldoret, a city known for producing champions. These regional tournaments give players across the country a fair chance to shine and prepare for the national finals in December,” he said.

After Eldoret, the Kenya Esports Series will continue its national tour with the Coastal Series in Mombasa on November 15, the Lake Series in Kisumu on November 22, and the Capital Series in Nairobi on November 29, culminating in the National Finals on December 12.
