Man, 22, kills brother over DVD player

It is reported that Holistas Isanya stabbed his 31-year-old brother Paul Mungeta on the neck after he realised that the suspect had sold his DVD player.

Mungeta is said to have confronted the suspect after he learnt that his DVD player was missing, leading to a confrontation that resulted in the stabbing.

According to Gichagi area chief George Kimemia, the victim was agitated by his younger brother’s move to sell his DVD player without permission and sought to find an answer on the matter, efforts that turned the argument fatal.

“The victim seems to have been agitated by his younger brother’s move to sell his DVD player without permission thus prompting the confrontation that led to the stabbing,” he said.

The suspect is said to have surrendered himself at the police after the incident.

Police have launched investigations into the incident.
