Migori: Search for body of 4-year-old boy who drowned in River Kuja

The bereaved family, led by Lazarus Nyuoma, stated that the boy went missing on Tuesday evening.

Nyuoma explained that the boy was last seen walking towards River Kuja, where his elder brother was, and he never returned home.

The family suspects that the boy drowned in the river and his body was swept away by the water.

According to the family, they have been trying to locate the body for the past two days but have yet to succeed.

They have appealed to the county department of disaster management to assist in retrieving the missing body.

Komenya assistant chief Millicent Anyango confirmed the incident, saying that the search is ongoing. She also urged members of the public living near water bodies to exercise caution, especially during this rainy season.
