Shinyalu MP Justus Kizito arrested over alleged destruction of property in Kakamega

Shinyalu Member of Parliament Justus
Kizito was on Thursday arrested by DCI detectives over the alleged destruction of
property in Ileho area, Kakamega County.
In February this year, the MP and seven other individuals, are accused of having vandalised property owned by
a local family, which is currently involved in a land tussle with Vikutsa
primary school
Kizito was
arrested outside Kakamega Law Court, at around 4 pm, alongside his driver and two
associates.
According to Kakamega
DCI boss James Lelia, a number of officers were injured while apprehending Kizito, who allegedly resisted arrest.
The MP is currently
being detained at Kakamega Police Station awaiting arraignment on Friday.
