A Form Four student has allegedly committed suicide shortly after he completed his last Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations paper in Mombasa county.

Abner Mwanda was found hanging in a classroom at Allidina Visram High School on Saturday evening by other students.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that before the student killed himself, he was facing a disciplinary case after he was allegedly found with bhang.

His mother Jane Mwanda however dismissed the claim.

According to her, two other suspects also accused of being in possession of bhang are the ones who should be investigated.

The principal of the school could not be reached to comment.

Mombasa County police boss Jonstone Ipara told Citizen Digital that investigations have been launched to establish into the incident.

The family has urged the police to speed up their probe and reveal what exactly happened to their kin.
