Two suspected robbers lynched by mob in Kondele, Kisumu

The gang, believed to comprise five members, struck in broad daylight, but three of the suspects managed to escape.

Confirming the incident, Kisumu Central Deputy OCPD Mwanauli Bakari said police have launched investigations to track down the remaining suspects. 

He warned residents against taking the law into their own hands, urging the public to work with law enforcement officers to ensure due process.

“We are appealing to members of the public to allow the police to do their work. Killing suspects interferes with investigations and denies us the chance to dismantle broader criminal networks,” Bakari said.

Police at the scene recovered several stolen items, including a black 55-inch LG television set, among other valuables.

The bodies of the two suspects were moved to the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue.
