KAA to auction unairworthy planes

Authority (KAA) is set to auction aircrafts it says are unairworthy and
breaching safety and efficiency of air operations.
In a notice, KAA says
the 73 aircrafts owned by various aviation firms will be sold between the 17th
and 22nd of November at the JKIA, Wilson, Lokichogio and the Moi International
Airport in Mombasa.
The owners of the
aircafts, KAA says, had been notified to clear outsanding bills and reposition
them but failed to do so.
Some of the aircrafts
facing the auctioneers hammer includes Somali Airforce, Jetlink, Fly 540, Jubba
Airways, Skyward, Astral Aviation, Silverstone among others.
