Moi International Airport named best airport in Africa

The Moi
International Airport has been feted with the 2023 Best Airport by Size and
Region award for Africa in the Under 2 million Passenger Per Year category, by
the prestigious Airports Council International (ACI World).
The recognition
comes as part of the esteemed ACI Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Survey, which
assesses global passenger experiences.
ACI World's ASQ
Awards are an annual celebration of excellence in airport customer experience,
gauged through Departure and Arrival Surveys.
Established in 2006,
the ASQ programme has become the foremost benchmark for airport passenger
satisfaction, boasting participation from over 400 airports across 109
countries.
Moi airport
previously earned the title for the best airport in the same category for
Africa in 2021 and 2022.

Winning the 2023 Best Airport by Size and Region Award from Airports Council
International is not only an honor but also a testament to our unwavering
dedication to excellence in customer service," said KAA Acting Managing
Director Henry Ogoye.
“This accolade
reaffirms our commitment to providing exceptional experiences to all our
passengers and serves as an inspiration for us to continue elevating our
standards, ensuring MIA remains a leader in its category."
On his part, ACI
World Director General, Luis Felipe de Oliveira, extended his congratulations
to the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) for establishing a global standard in
airport services.
“Congratulations to the whole team at Moi International Airport in Mombasa on their success in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards. Your dedication to excellence in customer experience sets a benchmark for airports worldwide! Keep setting the bar high," he said.
