How do you know that it's time to pass on the baton for a business you built from scratch and focus on other responsibilities?

For Waceke Nduati, she says deciding to give up the CEO role for Centonomy, the business she nurtured from start-up stage, was not an easy decision, but was a good one, that allowed her to focus on other aspects of the business that she is passionate about.

She says that a mistake many founders make is hanging on to aspects of a business that no longer serve them and are not working for far too long, instead of restrategising and focusing on what works.

Nduati emphasises the importance of walking the entrepreneurship journey with other trusted individuals who can give sound advice as to what is working and what needs to be shelved.

Now focused on the creative aspects of the business, she says she is more fulfilled.
