Diamonds partner Zari Hassan confesses love for ex-husband

Ugandan socialite and Tanzanian artiste Diamond Platnumz’s lover, Zari Hassan, has confessed that the love she has for her ex-husband, Ivan Ssemwanga has not faded, and says neither has Ivan’s love for her changed.

Zari made her remarks on Wednesday while appearing on NTV Uganda’s The Beat Show hosted by Douglas Lwanga.

“Having been my husband for 10 years and the father of my children, he (Ivan) will always have a spot in my heart and I am sure that I also have a spot in his,” stated the wealthy businesswoman.

Zari says despite the ‘mutual’ feeling, there’s nothing that can spark the relationship which had conked out. The new mother added that she has completely moved on.

“I always let him do whatever he wants with his life because for a fact, we broke up and I do not need to be interfering with his life,” she said.

Zari’s response came after Douglas asked her what she felt about the speculations that Ssemwanga had reportedly bleached his skin.

Ivan and Zari broke up in 2014. They have three sons together.

Zari was appearing on the show ahead of her “Zari All White Party” that will take place on Thursday, December 17 at Club Guvnor in Uganda.

Diamond dedicates “Utanipenda” hit to Zari

Zari’s recent revelation comes barely a week after her current boyfriend and most recent baby daddy, Diamond Platnumz, released a tribute song expressing the undying love he has for her – and pleading with her not to leave him.

Utanipenda (Would You Love Me) is similar to R. City’s Locked Away.

In the song, Diamond asks Zari if she will be there for him if all over a sudden he becomes broke and returns to his village home in Tandale, Kinondoni District in Dar-es-Salaam.

He goes on to ask: “If I (Diamond) am in debt and sell off my ‘State House’, radio and TV stations stop playing my music, the fans who used to praise me now just abuse me on Instagram, would you (Zari) still love me?”

The video shows a lady, whose appearance resembles Wema Sepetu, driving through dirty water splashing it on Diamond who was walking on the road side.

Platnumz does not forget the blogs which he says are good at exaggerating, adding: “they will not spare him the moment Zari dumps him.”

He further asks Zari to pray so hard that her husband does not end up being mocked in the streets.

“Tell me would you (Zari) still love me? Diamond poses. The cameras switch to Zari whose nodding indicates ‘yes’.

Their baby, Tiffah Dangote and Platnumz’s mum also appear in the video seeking for help from ex-President Jakaya Kikwete’s gate; but they are chased away.

The video was uploaded last Friday on YouTube, and six days later, it has over half a million views and 10,000 likes.

Well, will Diamond respond to Zari’s recent confession? Maybe the next hit-single will give us the answer.
