Popular Kikuyu singer Samidoh, born Samuel
Muchoki, is back in Kenya following his two-month music tour in the United
States.
Upon arrival, Samidoh was warmly received by
his family and local band at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
Taking to Instagram, the ‘Muthoniwa’ hit
singer shared photos from his welcome at the airport, thankful to have landed
home safe.
“It feels good to be back home. Thanks God for
journey mercies. Asanteni my people for a warm welcome, tupige sherehe sasa,”
he wrote.
The celebrated Mugithi
star toured a number of states for performances in the U.S
including; Dallas, Houston, Boston, Birmingham, Atlanta, Seattle, New
Jersey, and the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia (DMV).
On his way back, Samidoh broke his journey at
Dubai where he paid a visit to ailing Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses
Kuria.
In a photo shared by the musician in company
of a few friends, he gifted the law maker a self-branded t-shirt, wishing him
quick recovery.
“We pray that each day bring you closer to a
speedy full recovery Njamba ya Ruriri,” wrote Samidoh.
Kuria is among the pioneer patients to have
undergone a rare stem cell operation to treat the injuries that have
stifled his mobility.
This is due to third-degree burns
on his feet that he suffered after using an electric mat for managing
numbness in his feet.
Samidoh is back with lined up shows for the festive season.
