Kenyan Gospel artiste-cum-priest Size 8 has
admitted that during her early years of marriage she did not know how to handle
conflict within husband DJ Mo.
Size 8, speaking during an interview with
Kiss FM, revealed that sometime in 2016 she locked DJ Mo out of their house and
threw out his belongings following a disagreement.
“Before I matured into a lot of things, I
used to overreact, ata kuna day in 2016 nilifungia Mo nje, alikuta vitu zake
nje na mlango nimefunga,” she said.
She acknowledged the fact that, at the time,
she was not mature enough to handle domestic squabbles calmly.
The mother of two further said that she likes
being truthful when it comes to the institution of marriage because most people
derive and learn from her life.
“I have had my shares of drama, I've really
sumbuad…I have really packed and gone…I have really overreacted. I have done
all that and I thank God because right now I handle things in a very different
mature way," she said.
“I like being honest with marriage because
when you’re honest, you encourage other people, when you paint a picture of
perfection, you make other people feel like they’re in hell…I can say I have
really matured and I don’t pack and go after every argument.”
Size 8 also narrated another squabble in
2018, which resulted in her moving out of their family house into her own
house.
"I’ve moved out…In 2018 nilitoka
nikapack na nikaget hao yangu," she revealed.
She said that she is proud of the fact that
her and her celebrity husband have always been honest about the successes and
failures in their marriage journey.
Size 8 went on to advice that even with its
constant ups and downs, marriage is a beautiful institution.
“What I like about me and my husband, we are
honest about our marriage walk, marriage is a beautiful journey but it has its
ups and downs,” said Size 8.
