132 senior police officers to be promoted

The interview which began on Tuesday and will end Thursday this week will see the promotion of officers from the rank of Chief Inspector to Assistant Superintendent of Police.
The NPSC Chief Executive Officer Peter Leley said the senior officers who are currently interviewed have undergone promotional courses in Kiganjo and Emali police colleges.
The Commission also said as part of taming bribery and corruption cases during recruitment, they will bank on the technology where interested candidates will share their credentials through digitised platforms.
Leley also said the recruitment date, which will be advertised upon budget allocations by parliament will limit human interactions where only the shortlisted candidates will be engaged on the ground for other physical vetting and procedures.
