20 county commissioners transferred, 4 recalled in major reshuffle

Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof. Kithure Kindiki has made a major reshuffle of county commissioners in a move aimed at enhancing service delivery within the national administration.

In the changes which take effect on March 7, 2023, four county commissioners have been recalled to the ministry headquarters for redeployment, 15 will remain in their current stations while 20 have been transferred to new stations.

At the same time, 12 deputy commissioners have been promoted to the position of County Commissioner while 8 deputy commissioners have been transferred to new counties

The four county commissioners who have been recalled include; Herman Shambi (Nandi), Mathias Rioba (Trans-Nzoia), Michael Ivuto (Kirinyaga) and Stephen Kihara (Embu).

9. Joshua Nkanatha (Kiambu to Embu)

10. Josephine Ouko - (Kisumu to Busia)

11. Isaac Masinde - (Narok to Homa Bay)
