Bomet University student allegedly stabs boyfriend after a break up

A third-year Bomet University female student stabbed his boyfriend in the chest after he told her that their love affair was over and they should part ways immediately.

According to Bomet Central Sub-county deputy police commandant Bashir Ali, the 21-year-old had visited her boyfriend at Sewage residential area on the outskirts of Bomet town in the company of another female friend.

Her boyfriend, 25, who is also a third-year at the same college, then broke the news of ending their relationship.

The lady allegedly got agitated and removed a kitchen knife she was hiding in her undergarments and stabbed him in the chest, where he collapsed and fell down immediately.

The other lady she was in company with restrained her from doing more harm and raised an alarm, attracting other occupants in the estate.

He was rescued and rushed to Tenwek hospital while unconscious.

The suspect was arrested by the school security officers and handed over to Bomet central police station for interrogation.
