Eight in Court over Singapore, Thailand Ivory Seizure

The suspects did not get a chance to plead as the prosecution requested for 30 days to finish investigations.
The suspects included two employees of the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and a man in possession of the truck suspected to have transported the ivory.
The other suspects included two drivers and a port clerk.
Prosecutor Jami Yamina said police needed 30 more days to carry out investigations.
He further reiterated that one of the accused has a KRA security system password, which can be used to manipulate information leading to the loss of vital evidence.
Senior Magistrate Principal Richard Odenyo will Tuesday on the matter.
