Kenya inks Ksh.22.8B deal with Coca-Cola in five-year investment plan

State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohamed announced on Tuesday after President William Ruto, in the company of other Kenyan leaders, visited the company's headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States.
After inking the deal Trade and Investments Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano said that the partnership will play a vital role in creating job opportunities and growing Kenya's economy.
Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja expressed optimism that the move will create employment opportunities for many Nairobians jobs.
The meeting was part of Ruto's itinerary during his week-long US visit.
Coca-Cola opened its first bottling plant in Nairobi 76 years ago. It currently employs 3,000 Kenyans and another 37,000 indirectly.
