Ruai Family Hospital (RFH) founder and Chief
Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Maxwell Okoth has been honoured by the Kenya
Medical Association (KMA) for his contributions to the profession.
Dr. Okoth was feted with the 2021 Excellence

While acknowledging his achievement, Dr.
Okoth’s former lecturer and the Executive Dean of Strathmore University Business
School Dr. George Njenga commended Dr. Okoth's commitment in the field of managing
healthcare business.
“He is truly a champion in advancing the
transformation agenda of the Universal Healthcare Coverage in the Big 4 under
the Jubilee administration,” said Dr. Njenga.
The KMA Presidents dinner, under the
leadership of Dr. Andrew Onyino Were, was attended by among others Health Chief
Administrative Secretary Dr. Mercy Mwangangi, NMS Director of Health Services Dr.
Ouma Oluga, departmental committee member of the National Assembly Dr. James
Nyikal, Dr. Eseli Simiyu and the Kenya Healthcare Federation’s Dr. Jacqueline

The 31-year-old Dr. Okoth has previously said
he started his medical enterprise facility 6 years ago at the age of 26 years
with just USD3,000.
The enterprise has since risen from a small
facility to the huge growth and expansion of 100+ bed capacity that RFH is
today.
He now says he plans on replicating the facility model to all 47 counties in major growth and expansion plans.
