Makueni Governor Mutula's car involved in road accident
Newly elected Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo
Junior's car was early Thursday involved in a road crash hours before his
swearing into office.
The car,
which is said to have had three passengers on board, veered off the Machakos-Wote
highway and landed in a ditch.
According
to reports, all three occupants – who were headed to Mutula’s swearing in
ceremony - escaped without injuries.
Governor
Mutula was however not in the car at the time of the accident as he was already
at Unoa grounds, Wote town, where the ceremony was being held.
The event was presided over by Justice Robert
Limo and outgoing Governor Prof. Kivutha Kibwana handed over the instruments of
power to Mutula and his deputy Lucy Mulili.
