Man stabs spouse to death following altercation in Iten

The suspect, Khadiri Khamisi, is alleged to have gruesomely murdered his wife, 38-year-old Monica Jepto, following an altercation.

Detectives from Iten police station found the deceased's body lying in a pool of blood, outside the couple's rented house. The victim had a deep stab wound on the left side of her ribs. 

Police also retrieved a kitchen knife at the scene, which is believed to be the murder weapon.

The deceased's body has since been moved to Iten County Referral Hospital as Khamisi awaits arraignment.
