Meru Deputy Speaker Mwenda Ali seriously injured, daughters succumb in collision on Embu-Meru highway

 Ali and two others are said to have been seriously injured in the  Tuesday, April 2, accident at the Kivue-Gatunduri Bridge. 

The accident involved a Toyota Hilux and a Subaru driven by the county deputy Speaker who was in the company of other family members. 

The Speaker's car is said to have burst into flames upon impact, with several videos online showing responders attempting to extinguish the fire on the car, which had overturned on the side of the road.
