Miracles That Led to Beatification of Sister Nyaatha

In 1995, Sister Irene Stefani's remains were exhumed. At that time she carried the title 'servant of God'.
Later, the Catholic faithful were invited to pray through her intercession.
It is believed that 2 years ago, a miracle happened in a Mozambique church after they prayed through Sister Nyaatha. It was during a civil strife in the South African country.
About 270 Christians were holed up in the church where they were seeking refuge.
Beyond any natural occurrence
It was hot and they were thirsty as there was no water in the church, except the little water in the Baptismal font.
It is said that one of the priests suggested that they pray through Sister Nyaatha. It is reported that Water then started flowing unstoppably from the baptismal font.
The incident was reported to the church and investigations began. According to Father Peter Githinji, the investigations found that the water flow was beyond any natural occurrences and could not be explained scientifically.
“This was found to be a miracle”, said father Githinji.
After this, Pope Francis the First decreed in June 2014 that Sister Irene Stefani Nyaatha be beatified.
This is the first beatification ceremony to occur in Kenya and Africa.
