Residents of Nairobi were this afternoon left in awe after an eight-wheeler transit bus made its maiden rounds and stop over at the Kencom bus stage in the Central Business District.
The bus operated by City Shuttle Bus Company, with the length of approximately two 51-seater buses, is believed to have been on a road test before commencing commuter services in the CBD.
Baffled city residents milled around the bus and took pictures and selfies with their mobile phones.

“These are the buses Evans Kidero (Nairobi Governor) and Michael Kamau (former Transport and Infrastructure Cabinet Secretary) were talking about, they will be transporting people into the CBD,” explained one of the residents gleefully.
“Now they have decided to bring ‘Uber’ buses,” added another resident.
The high capacity bus is fitted with fans and handles for standing passengers and has the capacity to ferry 100 passengers – 60 seated and 40 standing.
