Two suspects shot dead in botched robbery in Mlolongo town

Police on Tuesday afternoon gunned down two suspected thugs in a botched robbery attempt at Mlolongo town in Athi River.

Confirming the incident, Athi River Sub-county Police Commander Samuel Mukuusi said the two suspects were in a three-man gang when they were ambushed trying to break into a business premise at Petmark area.

The third suspect is said to have escaped with bullet wounds.

According to the police commander, security officers recovered a pistol and a magazine with four rounds of ammunition from the suspects.
