Property destroyed as fire breaks out at Maseno University

A section of offices belonging to Maseno University’s Department of Public Health were burnt down early Saturday morning.

According to Vice Chancellor Professor Julius Nyabudi, the cause of the 3am fire is yet to be established.

Speaking at the scene of the incident, accompanied by senior staff including Deputy Vice Chancellor Joseph Chaacha, Nyabundi has noted that office equipment such as computers have been burnt completely.

Police have launched an investigation to establish the cause of the inferno.
