Azimio la Umoja One Kenya leader Raila Odinga says the coalition's delegates will have a final say on who will fly the presidential ticket in 2027.

Mr. Odinga, speaking in Mombasa on Tuesday, said all parties under the larger Azimio umbrella continue to strengthen their support bases ahead of the said polls, further affirming that the coalition has no seat reserved for any leader.

"Tukikubaliana Baba aendelee ni sawa...wakikubaliana Baba akae kando ni sawa...hiyo ni demokrasia," said the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party chief.

His sentiments come amid speculation that Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and DAP-K leader Eugene Wamalwa are warming up to the idea of a joint ticket ahead of the next general election.

"On who will be Azimio presidential candidate is still a secret of Azimio...this will be the winning ticket," Wamalwa said while hinting at the aforesaid joint ticket with Kalonzo last week.

Former Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho, who has been missing in ODM party activities, accompanied Mr. Odinga on Tuesday during his tour of Mombasa.

"Wengi naskia wanasema eti wako kwa debe. wacha wajipange; hata mimi Joho niko kwa race ya President 2027," Joho said.

"Kama watasema Joho tosha, nitamuunga mkono. Juzi nilisema Kalonzo wakisema ni yeye nitamuunga mkono," Mr. Odinga added.

Kalonzo, who was in Embu on Tuesday, said he is ready to take on President Ruto in the next polls accusing him of not listening to Kenyans.

The Wiper boss and Safina party leader Jimi Wanjigi, who separately toured the Mt. Kenya region for the third day, said the country is at a tipping point with Kenyans literally going to bed hungry.

"Kenyans cannot put food on the table and we say we have a government; No, we cannot allow it," said Kalonzo.

"Wakenya sahi hawana pesa ya kununua chakula na walikuwa wanasema wataleta suluhu; Wakenya wanaumia, hii serikali iende nyumbani," added Wanjigi.
