Three police officers injured in accident on Embu-Kitui road

Three police officers have sustained injuries after a lorry they were travelling in was involved in a road accident at Macembe area on the Embu-Kitui Road.
Confirming the Friday morning incident, Eastern Region Police Commander Lawrence Koilen said the lorry was part of a police convoy heading to Nairobi from Mandera.
According to the police commander, the lorry developed a mechanical problem before overturning on the middle of the road, causing a traffic snarl-up on the busy road.
The officers were taken to Embu Referral Hospital for treatment.
