AK cancels Kisii, Mombasa Track and Field Weekend Meetings

The fourth meet was scheduled to be held this weekend in Kisii while the coastal city was to play host for the fifth meet on April 26-27.
The Kisii meet had been rescheduled to this weekend from initial dates of April 5-6 to pave the way for AK to conduct the World Athletics Relays trials.
AK did not reveal what informed their decision to call off the two events but it comes at a time the athletics governing body is preparing to host the Eldoret City Marathon and Kip Keino Classic Continental Tour this month.
The Kip Keino Classic event will be held on April 20 at Nyayo Stadium before the Eldoret City Marathon goes down the following day in Uasin Gishu County.
AK however urged all counties to hold their track and field championships by April 27 and regions by May 4.
The events will culminate in the National Championships on May 16-18.
