Reigning champions Gor Mahia and former champions Tusker FC were held by KCB and Ulinzi Stars respectively in the midweek FKF Premier League action on Wednesday.

Gor Mahia, who were eyeing a third successive win of the season, were held to a goalless draw by league leaders KCB at Dandora Stadium with Tusker playing to a 1-1 draw against Ulinzi Stars at Police Sacco Stadium.

The stalemate saw the unbeaten Bankers remain top of the table on 14 points after six rounds as they continued with an uptick in form in 2024/2025 season.

Gor are eighth on seven pointsand have played three fewer matches following their delayed season kick-off due to continental assignments.

Former champions Tusker wasted their chance to join the top four bracket after Moses Kaafero 48th minute strike for the soldiers cancelled Charles Momanyi’s first-half goal to share the spoils.

Tusker are fifth on nine points after six rounds with Ulinzi languishing 16th on three points and are without a win after five rounds.

In other midweek matches, Humphrey Obina’s second half strike gave Murang’a SEAL a 1-0 win over AFC Leopards at St. Sebastian Park Arena.

The defeat saw the fourth placed Ingwe fail to capitalize on KCB’s slip up to narrow their lead as they remained four points below.

At Police Sacco, hosts Police FC secured their first win of the season following a 2-0 win over Mathare United as the law enforcers kick-started their delayed season.

Bottom-placed City Stars fell 2-0 to Kakamega Homeboyz, who bounced back to winning ways after two consecutive defeats.

Bandari FC were denied a chance to move within top four places after a goalless draw against Talanta at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

Second-placed Kariobangi Sharks lost 1-0 against Bidco United at St. Sebastian Park in Murang’a.
