Moses Shumah’s decision to cross borders in search of a bigger challenge is paying rich dividends, with the Kenyan striker enjoying a dream start to life at Zambian giants Power Dynamos.

Since completing his move from Kakamega Homeboyz in July 2025, Shumah has quickly established himself as one of the most feared forwards in the Zambia Super League.

Halfway through the 2025/2026 season, the former FKF Premier League Golden Boot winner is leading the scoring charts with seven goals after 15 rounds, firmly placing himself among the favourites for the coveted Golden Boot.

Shumah wasted no time endearing himself to the Power Dynamos faithful. On his home debut at Arthur Davies Stadium, the striker announced his arrival with a brace against NAPSA Stars, guiding “Aba Yellow” to a comfortable 2–0 victory.

Since then, he has been a constant source of goals and attacking menace, most recently netting his seventh of the campaign in another 2–0 win over Mutondo Stars on January 10, 2026.

His impact has extended beyond routine league fixtures into the club’s biggest moments. In the fiercely contested “Electricity Derby” against arch-rivals ZESCO United, Shumah rose to the occasion, scoring the decisive goal in a narrow 1–0 win that further cemented his growing cult-hero status among Dynamos supporters.

On the continental stage, Shumah has played a pivotal role in Power Dynamos’ historic qualification for the CAF Champions League group stages.

His crucial away goal against Uganda’s Vipers SC proved decisive in a dramatic 3–2 aggregate triumph, a victory that also earned the club a financial windfall of approximately $700,000, underlining the tangible value of his contributions.

Interestingly, despite his prolific domestic form, Shumah has often been deployed as a high-impact substitute in recent Champions League group matches, a tactical choice that has sparked debate among fans eager to see him start.

While his move ruled him out of Kenya’s CHAN 2024 squad, Shumah remains firmly in the picture for the Harambee Stars senior team, carrying Kenya’s striking hopes with confidence and goals.
