KPA coach Kiki far from impressed despite terrorising Terror

Despite picking up a 66- 48 win over Terror in weekend’s basketball league match, KPA head coach Sammy Kiki is far from satisfied saying his charges didn’t play according to instructions.

KPA won the first quarter 18-14 before narrowly losing 13-14 in the second quarter. After the break both teams came out strong, sharing points 11-11 in the third quarter before KPA employed their experience to kill off the game in the fourth quarter, winning 24-09.

“I am happy with the win even though we didn’t play in the first three quarters but picking up in the last quarter helped us a lot,” Kiki  said.

The Dockers have played eight games winning seven, losing one and have 15 points at position three on the log, behind Ulinzi and Terror who have played all their first leg matches.

On the other hand KPA women hammered UoN Dynamites 70-28 in the women premier league and head coach Anthony Ojukwu gloats it was an easy walk in the park.

“It wasn’t a difficult match; we played well especially after losing against Equity, we were in high spirits and hope to continue with the same in the upcoming matches,” Ojukwu said.

KPA ladies have now played seven games winning six, losing one to accumulate 13 points at position four.

Women defending champions Equity Hawks have completed the first leg with a 100perecent record, winning all 11 games to claim 22 points.

The bankers hammered Eagle Wings 65-26 on Saturday before defeating ANU 54-30 on Sunday at University of Nairobi grounds.

In other matches Lakeside maximized their home ground hammering KU Pirates 69-63.

Head coach Dismas Oketch was delighted with the win.

“A close game and I must say it’s a big win for us as some of our key players were out due to injuries. It was great getting a win in front of your home fans; we’re now looking forward to building a winning streak, ” he said noting that they are  working on improving their weak areas.

Kisumu Lady Bucks meanwhile lost 45-56 to visiting team KU ORYX.
