KSSSA Games: Kimobo hit Bungoma School to lift County Rugby 7s title

 Kimobo Secondary School upset Bungoma High School to defend the Bungoma County Rugby 7s title  beating the latter 14-10 in the final staged at Bukembe Boys High School on Saturday.

Kimobo proved too strong for Bungoma after dominating the better part of the match with early tries to head into the half-time break leading 14-05.

Heading into the final, Bungoma registered a 12-00 win over Teremi in the quarterfinals before mauling rivals Kibabii High School 12-07 in the semis to book a date with Kimobo who won 10-7 against Friends School Kamusinga and 21-12 against Kamusinde in quarters and semis respectively.

Kamusinde finished third after beating Kibabii 26-20 in the third playoffs.

However, in the Girl's category, Mbakalo Secondary School are the new rugby 7s champions after edging Kimobo 05-00 in a closely contested final.

Mbakalo had earlier on whipped Moi Girls Kamusinga 05-00 in the semi-finals while Kimobo won 05-00 against Kongit secondary to set a final date with Mbakalo.

Kimobo and Bungoma will represent Bungoma County in the regional games set to be hosted at Bungoma High School in a fortnight.
