United’s women's head coach Anne Aluoch ways they will utilize this weekend’s
break to rigorously prepare for their upcoming matches.
In an
interview with Citizen Digital, Aluoch revealed she'll also take the chance to
check the mental health of her players who, she believes, were affected after
losing to Mombasa Olympic last weekend-their first loss of the season.
"We
are dedicating this weekend to preparation only. I want to spend my time with
the players because this was a first-time loss for them.
“They
were affected psychologically so I basically want to ensure that their mental
state is okay for the next match," said Aluoch.
The seasoned
coach expressed gratitude to the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) for managing
the women's National Super League (NSL) and further asked them to enhance the league’s
visibility to attract new sponsors.
"I
first want to applaud our league. This was the first, we've never had any
before. Normally it was just from Div. 1 straight to premier league.
“So, I
applaud the structure too. What needs to be done now is create publicity,"
the coach stated.
Mathare
are ranked third on the log with 21 points after playing 10 matches.
