Kibwezi farmer in agony as hyenas kill cattle in night attack
Cattle killed by hyenas.
A farmer from Ilikoni area in Mtito Andei, Kibwezi subcounty, is counting losses after a hyena killed four goats and one sheep on Thursday night.
Charles Kimeu called on Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) to urgently take action to stop the invasion of hyenas.
Cases of hyenas attacking cattle have been on the rise.
In 2021, a boy was injured during an attack by a hyena in Kibwezi.
In another incident, a woman had her eyes gouged out by a hyena.
