Man Kills Former Employer and Attempts to Commit Suicide Before Being Rescued and Arrested

A Makueni man is set to be charged after being accused of killing his former employer and then attempting to take his own life.

The man from Mukaa subcounty is said to have stabbed his former boss – a lady – in the neck,  and then attempting to turn the knife on himself, before neighbours found him and stopped him.

The motive of the murder is yet to be established.

Mukaa subcounty police boss Barbanas Ng'eno confirmed the incident, saying the suspect, who sustained injuries, will be arraigned in court after being discharged from hospital.
