Man arrested for allegedly hacking father to death in Makueni

A middle aged man has been arrested for allegedly killing his father in Makueni County.

Nziu Assistant Chief Alex King'waa said the son reportedly hacked the father with a machete over a family dispute.

"The two have had issues for quite sometime. They have been wrangling over family issues," King'waa told Citizen Digital.

On the fateful day, the father tried to attack his son who was in the farm at the time, only for the young man to wrestle him to the ground.

The son then grabbed the machete, hacking his father in the head, killing him on the spot. The body has been taken to Makueni Hospital mortuary.

Meanwhile, the suspect is being held at Makueni Police Station pending his arraignment.
