Suspected thief lynched by mob in Kisii

A suspected thief has been lynched by members of the public in Kisii.

A police report reveals that a staff member from the Agricultural Training Center (ATC) alerted authorities about intruders breaking into a residence on the campus.

The invader reportedly damaged the roof of the house to gain entry.

The occupants raised an alarm, attracting neighbors who quickly responded by cornering one of the suspects and attacking him to the point of death.

The deceased man, believed to be around 40 years old, has not yet been identified.

Meanwhile, the accomplices of the deceased managed to escape and are currently being pursued by police officers.

The body of the deceased has been taken to the Kisii Referral Hospital morgue as police initiate further investigations into the incident.
